LwICT will again be reported for the year on the March report. It will appear at the end of the K-8 reports.
The section has been compressed and will appear on the student report as:
Literacy with Information, Communication Technology (infused in all curricular areas) Critical Thinking Creative Thinking Responsibility and Ethics
When data is entered into Web Teacher the three big ideas will be commented on in one expanding entry space.
Big Idea Reminder:
Critical Thinking ( Demonstrates critical thinking with ICT to plan and gather information)
Creative Thinking ( Demonstrates creative thinking with ICt to prodice and communicate information)
Reponsibility and Ethics ( Demonstrates responsibility and ethics with ICT)
Teachers can comment on the activities students have completed illustrating the three big ideas. In many cases this may be a class or group comment. It is hoped that some of the comments will begin to move toward comments reflective of assessment of individual students.
2010-2011 is the reporting year when teachers will be expected to reflect assessment of individual students.
